Who Are We?
Being able to know & trust your trading partner is essential in today's uncertain world of strangers. We are a real brick and mortar business located in downtown Leavenworth, Kansas. The business is owned by John & Kim Kincaid. Kim Kincaid is Sandy Bushman’s daughter, born locally in Cushing hospital and is a lifetime resident. John is a transplant from Eudora, Ks, circa 1997. Long-time residents will know that Sandy Bushman has been a CPA in Leavenworth for nearly 50 years, and remains active in many civic organizations.
Kansas Auctions LLC
Leavenworth Consignment is the website we use for local Leavenworth-Lansing area auction consignments. We also own and operate Kansas Auctions, LLC, which provides internet advertising, web site hosting and auctioneer services to auctioneers across the state of Kansas. We also provide services to the Kansas Auctioneers Association, the state’s official trade association. (We are also association members.) Our statewide auction calendar posts hundreds of auction sale bills each year and has thousands of visitors, so we felt a separate website for Leavenworth customers was needed.
Kim and I began doing business together in 1997, initially selling on eBay. We've sold & shipped thousands of items to customers in every country. eBay honored us with numerous awards over the years, including recognition by PayPal as a World Seller. We've met many of eBay’s chief executives in person.
The internet has certainly changed how business is done today. The eBay marketplace has become the “go-to” place for great deals on new consumer goods, such as electronics and the latest fashions. However, shipping costs, sales commissions and 27 million competing auction listings make eBay a less desirable marketplace to sell used goods, especially bulky, heavy or expensive items. Fortunately the local auction marketplace is quite lively in Kansas, with over 350 auctioneers statewide. Our website, www.KansasAuctions.net, is the largest of its kind in this area. Collector Bookstore
Kim & I also own and operate Collector Bookstore, a real "brick & mortar" store with a full time staff, located at 724 Delaware Street in downtown Leavenworth, Ks. Collector Bookstore is a leading specialty retailer of price guides and reference books to inform and educate collectors and professionals in the antiques and collectors markets. Our customers include individual collectors, dealers, appraisers, auctioneers & other industry professionals. We buy most titles directly from the publisher; this ensures our price guides are the most recent. Phone calls are welcomed - we don't use voice mail!
